What is typically covered in the Avo China Travel Protection ?
Depending on what plan you buy and when you buy it, the travel insurance cover and benefits limits can vary. Avo Lite and Plus* travel protection include:

What’s not covered in our Avo China Travel Protection Plan?

Not getting medical treatment overseas
If you get sick and choose not to be treated whilst abroad, you will not be covered by our post-trip medical coverage.

Any pre-existing medical conditions
If you were diagnosed for the condition, that would be a pre-existing condition - coverage would be denied.

Trip cancellations for ‘everything’
All our travel insurance policies provide a list of covered reasons for trip cancellation. If your reason is not on the list, you will not be covered.

Travelling purpose
We are unable to provide any coverage if your travelling purpose is to get medical care, advice or treatment.

COVID-19
Unfortunately, we are unable to provide any coverage as it’s a “known condition”.

Important Stuff


  • We can cover your leisure travels and business trips (so long as it’s an office job).
  • The maximum age covered is 80 years old.
  • Your trip must depart from and return to Hong Kong.
  • Personal Accident Benefits for child are 50% of the total Benefit Amount.
  • We cover: All the geographical regions within mainland China including Macao Special Administrative Region.
